THIS IS FAJN.

FAJN. is an independent journal about authored places and cultural environments.

it explores architecture, atmosphere, hospitality, food, objects and everyday rituals not as separate disciplines, but as interconnected forms of cultural practice.

the journal is interested in places where coherence becomes tangible — where space, materials, graphics, light, people and cultural context emerge from a shared way of thinking rather than isolated decisions.

many of the projects featured in FAJN. exist outside dominant centres: in smaller cities, rural landscapes, transition zones or quieter parts of Europe. With a particular focus on Central & Eastern Europe and the Alpine region, the journal moves between essay, observation and conversation.

rather than reviewing or recommending, fajn. reads and interprets:
what holds a place together,
why certain spaces feel grounded or inevitable,
and how architecture becomes part of lived culture.

edited by architect and design journalist Linda Pezzei.
